Welcome to Clennie Hawthorne's McKinney, Frisco and Plano Real Estate Website

Welcome to Clennie Hawthorne's McKinney, Frisco and Plano Real Estate Website

One can journey north and south, east and west and see a vast assortment of rooftops and opportunity. What was once prairie land is now a sea of growth in family dwellings as well as commercial ventures! Allen real estate and real estate in Plano is a strong investment. With land at a premium, the pre-owned home market does well. Plano has little undeveloped land and we all know what that does to the cost of real estate. Great schools, parks and strong entertaining venues are just a few of the positive reasons for making Plano home. Plano may not be the answer for all. Some may want the feel of a smaller town. Just go north of Plano on Highway 75 to Allen and Fairview to find this small town atmosphere.

A stop in Allen and Fairview will provide you with that small town feel and the convenience of being next to everything. If you are looking for a country club lifestyle, Twin Creeks offers golf, swimming and hike and bike trails. The developments of Montgomery Farms, Star Creek, Waterford Park, Watters Crossing and Beacon Hill, are just a few of the ones that offer beautiful homes near the course. The rolling terrain on the west side of Allen is different than the north and east side of Allen. There you will find lovely homes, nice sized lots and many subdivisions with parks and lakes within the development. Go just a little further southeast and you will find Parker, with very large lots or ranchettes. North of Parker is Lucas offering the same lifestyle. Most of the Lucas and Fairview homes are zoned to the Lovejoy School District. This area represents a lifestyle of country living at its finest. Follow 75 to 121 and go west and you will see where McKinney, Allen, Plano and Frisco collide. A true investment haven!

In Frisco you will find anything and everything your heart desires. With 121 and the North Dallas Tollway access, Frisco offers many opportunities that other cities cannot. Combine the revenues from the professional sports venues of baseball, soccer and hockey along with the retail and business sector and you have the formula that allows for the lowest taxes in the area. Frisco is positioned for amazing growth and opportunity.

Take 121 from Frisco to 75 and you will come to McKinney~Unique by Nature. When you see the first hill, you will see and feel the change. It is simply different. Rolling Hills, trees, church steeples and golf courses are in every direction. With a strong Economic Development Plan, a growing airport, industrial park and growing commercial/retail venues, McKinney is prepared for its growth. Nothing is worse than a growing city with poor infrastructure. McKinney has done a superior job of preparing for the future. Of course no city will develop appropriately without a strong school system and McKinney has received its share of awards. It has also worked to maintain its historic relevance in Collin County during a period of unprecedented growth. The historic square links the past to the present in a unique way. Homes in McKinney range from the low 100’s to over $1 million. Rolling terrain is on both sides of 75 and provides a picturesque landscape whether in the historic district, the Eldorado area or the Stonebridge Ranch area. Developing now north of Hwy 380, McKinney continues to afford wonderful opportunities in a beautiful setting.

Collin County has an unusually diverse topography. With Central Expressway, also known as 75, 121, the Dallas Tollway, The George Bush Tollway and Preston Road slicing and dicing the county, what once was rural has become quite urban. Supplying the catalyst to its growth, many corporations, athletic training facilities and small businesses now invest heavily with McKinney/Allen/Frisco/Plano real restate. From Frisco to the west to Farmersville to the east and Plano south, there is much to see and do in this robust county.

Real Estate Tips
First Time Buyers >Too Many Experts

It can be difficult to make an informed homebuying decision when confronted by advice from too many "experts." If you have just found the house you want to buy, you are probably feeling completely thrilled and confused at the same time. You trust the agent who helped you and feel that the advice you received is solid. But you also want to get opinions about the house from your best friend, your parents, and your Uncle Chuck, who has an inactive real estate license.

If you get input from too many sources, you could find yourself even more confused than you already are. Your best friend can provide moral support, but might not know the market in your area. Your parents may go into shock because they feel that they got so much more house for their money 30 years ago--and it cost them a fraction of the price you are going to pay.

Even though Uncle Chuck passed the real estate exam, his insights won't be as relevant as those of a professional who is currently working the market. It's not that you shouldn't consult your family and friends--just don't go overboard. Rely on the advice of professionals you trust--a structural inspector, loan officer, and a good real estate agent, so that you can feel comfortable about having made an informed decision.
